Volta NY is a curated show organized around a single theme, VOLTA NY 09 is a platform for new artistic initiatives, invited artists and their affiliation with forward-thinking art galleries. This year's theme, "Age of Anxiety," is taken from W.H. Auden's seminal 1947 book of the same name and is intended to address our present socio-cultural context as well as the new artistic possibilities it will engender.
VOLTA NY’s "Age of Anxiety" is a distinctive showcase for contemporary art production that offers opportunities for discovery beyond that afforded by more traditional venues.
